Financial Stewardship

during fiscal year 2024 - 2025 - our first full fiscal year as a nonprofit -

RTN dedicated:

88% of funds directly to professional construction of public trails ($10,000)

9% purchased equipment to support trail work ($1,000)

3% essential administrative expenses. ($340)

OUR MODEL OF IMPACT

RTN’s fiscal-year numbers reflect a lean operating model: just over $11,000 in direct spending from July 2024 through June 2025.

But our real story is leverage. Many rural communities and small nonprofits don’t have staff to plan trail and park projects or pursue complex grants. RTN fills that gap — developing projects, writing proposals, and guiding partners through the process.

During this fiscal year, RTN prepared grant proposals that, in September 2025, resulted in more than $1 million in external funding for trails and parks. These dollars don’t appear in our budget — they flow directly to municipalities, schools, and nonprofits. RTN’s expertise made them possible.

(Grants awarded after the close of the fiscal year, but developed during FY24–25)

RTN is driven by community commitment.
